Poindexter's Pentagon days over

The ex-Navy admiral who spearheaded two sharply criticized projects will 
resign soon, a defense official said. John Poindexter was involved with an 
abandoned futures-trading market for predicting assassinations, terrorism 
and other events in the Middle East. He was also part of the so-called Total 
Information Awareness program that drew fire from civil rights groups.
