BOB WOODRUFF (Voice Over) Retired Admiral John Poindexter is expected to step down within a few weeks. The plan would have allowed traders to make money by correctly predicting acts of terrorism. BOB WOODRUFF (Off Camera) Some encouraging news about the economy today. BOB WOODRUFF (Voice Over) The government says the economy grew almost 2.5 percent in the second quarter. It's the strongest showing in nearly a year. Most of the increase was due to a massive surge in defense spending. BOB WOODRUFF (Off Camera) But business spending, a critical ingredient of a strong recovery, also grew for only the second time since the fall of 2000.
