DAN WASSERMAN'S BRILLIANT EDITORIAL CARTOON (JULY 30) IN WHICH HE PRINTS AN 
EXCERPT FROM THE STORY OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION'S HAREBRAINED PLAN TO 
ORGANIZE BETTING ON ACTS OF TERRORISM, RAISES THE QUESTION OF WHETHER LIFE 
IMITATES ART OR ART IMITATES LIFE. Knowing that ex-Admiral John Poindexter 
was behind this scheme reminded me of the character General Jack D. Ripper 
in the movie "Dr. Strangelove." Again, does art imitate life or life imitate 
art?
